Location:
On Site in Newcastle 2-3 days per fortnight
Reporting into the Managing Director the Commercial Director will deliver a sound and robust commercial framework to the business, both developing and opening routes to the current and existing automotive and off-highway market.
- Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and day to day leadership of commercial activities for the Company
- Responsibility for business development strategies within the current product portfolio in addition to establishing an effective new business pipeline in a new sector such as Nuclear, Rail, Defense etc whilst increasing the off-highway and other sector clients.
- Responsibility for product development activities, pricing, sourcing and vendor management and operations.
- Work alongside the management team and directors to contribute to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business.
- Overall responsibility for the business sales and marketing strategy.
- Key responsibility for all estimating related activities.
- Create and lead on customer quotes and proposals.
- Resolution of client differences.
- Lead and manage the Engineering team.
- Responsibility for business branding, including the company website and related social media.
- Industry networking.
- Nationwide travel.

- Qualifications
- Educated to degree level.
- Significant hands-on experience in a senior sales/commercial leadership role. Ideally off highway sectors, defense, nuclear and rail
- Sales or Commercial industry Qualification would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of commercial contract law.
