Deep draw metal stamping for a well-known vehicle manufacturer
ADM used deep draw metal stamping to develop a new tank product for a valued client.
The challenge
A well-known UK vehicle manufacturer required a new tank product for hybrid vehicles.
As part of ADM’s ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction, we wished to demonstrate that the final product was achievable to the specifications required.
The solution
ADM’s skilled engineering team used the deep draw cold form metal stamping process to create two simulated halves of the tank.
The deep draw process can be a challenging area of cold stamping and demands careful consideration of the product and product development from the inception and simulation stage, all the way through to the final product delivery.
To address this, our team worked closely with the client; taking the design concept and developing the product in partnership with our toolmaking partner and the client.
Using the simulations, we then manufactured parts with our 1600Ton hydraulic press:
